Two, and we would rather name them than describe them vaguely.

_ga and _ga_7JGRE8LTY7 come from Google Analytics 4. They hold a random identifier for your browser, which is what lets a return visit be counted as the same browser instead of a second person. They are analytics cookies, not strictly necessary ones, and they are set as the page loads rather than after you agree to anything — there is currently no consent banner here. If you are in a place whose rules require your consent first, that is a gap on our side and not a claim that consent was not needed.

PARAGLIDE_LOCALE is ours and remembers which language you are reading in. Nothing is inferred from it.

What is stored locally instead

Your colour theme choice, and only if you change it, kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. It never leaves your device.

What third parties store

Videos do not load until you press play; after that YouTube is loaded through youtube-nocookie.com, which limits but does not eliminate what it stores, and its own policy applies. The Steam store widget is different — it loads as soon as it scrolls into view, without waiting for you, and Valve sets a session cookie on store.steampowered.com at that point. Neither reports anything back to us.
